'E AGL HMM... Students in health classes at Central are taught the structure of the human body, and how to take care of it. Miss Bloom and Mr. Arthur Sharpsteen teach this important sub- ject. It is a very interesting as well as bene- ficial class, teaching students about mental, emotional, and physical health. They also become acquainted with good grooming and neutritional habits. Every student is required to study health, and there certainly are no regrets. The subject concerns everybody, and very often bad faults are corrected. If a student knows this subject well, he can live a much healthier and happier life. Dawg It is the desire of every boy and girl to be able to drive a car. However, before earning a license, one must have a thorough knowledge of safety rules and of the car that is to be driven. At Central High, there is an excellent driving course. Students are taught to drive carefully and to cope with the problems they will encounter. The students are given an opportunity to do actual driving twice a week, and they also have lectures indoors twice a week. Mr. Andrew Harris, the instructor, guides the students along the road to becoming good drivers. I 4 Page Seventeen

fw? I O 0 0 Someday if you forget your lunch or you don't care to bring it from home, you can step into the cafeteria and obtain a good lunch for a very reasonable price. Whether it is sandwiches, salads, or a hot plate you desire, the cafeteria has it. This is also a good place to study or catch up on your homework for afternoon classes, or if you prefer, you can sit and talk with your friends. We appreciate our fine cafeteria staff. Custodians Have you ever wondered who does all the work around Central? We'll tell you. It's ouncustodians. They keep the bells ringing, inkwells filled, floors swept, lavsm mowed and the grounds picked up. Early every morning they come to open the doors and get the building heated. When locks have been put on backwards or can't be unlocked, they come to the rescue. Many thanks are in order for the custodians, who help to make our building a pleasant place.
