After terms of rather smooth sailing G. O. was invigorated by a wide-awake, progressive cabinet of officers. The stimulus began in the Fall with Michael Selan as President, Agnes McIntyre as Vice President, and Barbara Corell as Secretary. The highlight of their team was the cele- bration of Papa Central Day held under the auspices of G. O. Teachers taught blue- jeaned, plaid-shirted students. The Court House Square rocked with cheers, and Papa was inaugurated at a dance which enthusiastically climaxed this holiday of Central. Peprallies and dances were used as a means of improving school spirit and pride. With the same goal in mind-that of improving school spirit-Louis Artuso took over in the Spring. His helpmates were Margaret Connor as Vice President and Ioan Harper as Secretary. Louie and his peppy gang of delegates were hosts at a meeting of the triple cities Student Council. Representatives from North, Iohnson City, Vestal and Union Endi- cott were on hand for a business meeting and eats in the school cafeteria. Research, pending a revision of the G. O. constitution was carried on, under the leadership of Mr. William Hogan, faculty advisor. The Fall term of 1944 and the Spring term of l945 were acclaimed as enthusiastic, contro- versial and peppy. General Organization really was Going On.
