PANORAMA ANNUAL for 1937 flliliaz Nellie B. Rngera Thirty-seven years ago, Binghamton Central High School had the good fortune to obtain the services of Miss Nellie B. Rogers, a recent graduate of Western Reserve University. Since then she has taught scores of stu- dents Histoiry, English, French and German, and, at the time the present building was erected, became the head of the Modern Language depart- ment, an office she has held since that time. As one of Binghamton's most able teachers, she has held several executive. positions in the Language department of the Southern Tier branch of the New York State Teachers Association and has served on the Regents Committee at Albany. It is with much pleasure that we learn of Miss Rogers' decision to re- main in Binghamton. We feel that the greatest factor concerning her departure is the true respect and genuine friendship with which she will always be bound to B.C.H.S. -lf Page 23
