CLASS OF NINETY-NINE. Farewell to our friends and farewell to our foes, Farewell, dear old school, with your joys and your woes, Farewell, Noughty Nought, and farewell, Noughty One, We're going to leave for our work now is done. No more shall we sit crowded three in a seat Through the winter's sharp cold and the summer's fierce heat N o more shall we march out- at night and at noon To that dear old piano's melodious tune. . No more must we grub' over Virgil and Burke, Or sweat over German' and French like a Turk, Still we can not suppress just one parting sigh As we leave now forever old Binghamton. High. When at last age has bowed us, and years dimmed our sight' We'll recall its old mem'ries with heartfelt delight, ' The sleighrides, receptions, the dances and scraps, The good times we've had as well as mishaps. ,So in leaving the school that its mem'ries be bright, We will bear with us hence neither malice nor spitef' '-We'll forgive the small juniors for all they have done .Since the little ones did it for nothing but fun. - We wish them success when as seniors they'll try A To keep up the standing of famous old High. May their efforts be crowned with joy and with praise And joy and good fortune attend all their ways. So with kind words for all both our foes and our friends, Our last farewell greeting with kind wishes ends., And we hope that the classes which bring up the line ,Will all do as well as the class Ninety Nine.
