The Students Are THE GREATEST HITS There are many people that make up Biloxi High. There are the teachers, the counselors, the principals, and even the maintenance crews. However, the most important part of Biloxi High is the students. After all, they are the reason that Biloxi High exists. Walking down the halls between classes, it is very seldom that a smile isn't seen or a simple Hi isn't heard. During break, students congregate in large groups either under the trees in the courtyard, or in some out-of-the-way corner. Friends meet after school to study, to talk, or just to have a good time. Students are very active in school activities. Students take part in student government, and have a voice in decisions which affect them. They publish a yearbook annually, and they publish a school newspaper which is distributed periodically. A school literary magazine is also published each year by the Quill ▲ ► Friendly laces are easily found everywhere on campus. At right. Martha Guice coaxes the reluctant Augie Joachim to turn his head for the camera. ▲ Goofing off at the football game is a favorite pastime for Neil Woods. Melanie McMillon. and Angela Howard and Scroll Honor Society. The magazine contains original art, poetry, and prose by Biloxi High students. It is hard to describe the role of the teenage student at Biloxi High. The diversity and character of spirit are among the many interesting aspects of this breed of individual. It can simply be stated that students are THE GREATEST HITS. 4 • Theme
