Biloxi High’s 1981 Homecoming was kicked off with the annual Spirit Week, held on October 12-16. Dress-up days were Tacky Day, Wild West Day, Little Kids Day, Crazy Hat Day, and Indian Spirit Day. The Student Council also spon- sored the annual Spirit Chain Com- petition. Paper chain links in the col- ors red, white, and black were sold for a nickel apiece, with all money raised by the class producing the longest chain to be donated to the class treasury. First place winner was the Senior Class, with the Sophomore and Junior Classes garnering second and third positions. School was dismissed at half-day in preparation for the Homecoming Day festivities, including the tradi- tional Homecoming Parade. A Celebration of Spirit Above Left: Rhomi Tripp and Ann Esposito.
