.'a'4'- PRESIDENTS MESSAGE To the students of Biloxi Schools: Inasmuch as The Indian Echo is the annual publication of your school, it is my pleasure on behalf of the members of the Biloxi Board of Ed- ucation to use the yearbook to convey my greetings and express my wishes for Biloxi High School. To students, past, present, and future, I express cordial good willg my wish for the high school is greatness rather than bigness. To the annual staff and their sponsor, my com- mendationg to the student body and friends of the school, my sincere thanks for the splendid coop- eration, not only in the presentation of this splen- did book, but the other school projects to which you have contributed so willingly and faithfully. I trust that in the completion of this school pro - ject you have recognized the necessity of cooperation and good will, that each has received sornething that will prove beneficial in greater projects which will truly follow. If so, your efforts have not been in vain. Our student annual is a creditable expression of the life, the problems, the aspirations, and the hopes of the students. I trust this yearbook will find a wel- come in the homes of the students of Biloxi High School. Lewis W. Hood, Jr. President I BILOXIF.-:i-'-'

I V5 MESSPM ' Miss Margaret Wentzell Bookkeeper Miss Loise Parker Clerk uvmmuuml J3'i 'x Dear Seniors: Iwant to use this opportunity of congratulating you for your outstanding achievements and for your successful completion of your high school work. I hope that somewhere along the road you have learned to remember what other peo- ple have done for youg that you have recognized the importance of ignoring what the world owes youg but that you do recognize what you owe to the worldg that you will forget your rightsg that you will recognize your debts and you will ac- ceptyour chances to do more than your part in whatever work of life that is yours. I trust thatyou have learned to lookbehind the faces of people into their hearts and to realize that the real reason for your existence is not what you can get out of other people, but what you can render in the way of service in making your community and the world better by your having lived .n it. My wish to you is that you will, from time to time, think and act along these lines. I will know then that my wishes that you have amost successful life will come true.
