Choirs Present Christmas In Song Mr. Brandvold, we didn't mean to forget the words! The annual Christmas concert drew a full house in ’67 with the presentation of ’’Christmas in Song. As al- ways, the chorus department was directed by Mr. Brandvold and included Varsity Singers, A Cappella Choir, Girls A Cappella, ensembles and sev- eral solos. The success of the concert was also due to the efforts of the stage crew with beautiful lighting effects and pictures made by BHS art stu- dents. The concert was nar- rated by Mark Jones. Girls A Cappella translates the meaning of Christmas through songs. 19

Delegates to the 1967 Girls’ State convention were Kris Hagstrom, Mary Jo Hilde, Susan Hendrickson and Nancy Morris. Girls' State was held June 22-30 on the Montana State University campus. The girls were divided into two parties and given gold and blue beanies to represent their party. By participating in mock elections and holding offices, the girls learned about the functions of government. The girls got to keep their beanies as souvenirs of their week at MSU. Girls Staters Kris Hagstrom, Nancy Morris, Susan Hendrickson, and Mary Jo Hilde. Four Seniors Attend Girls State Girls staters participated in campaigns, elections and law- making. Susan and Kris were members of the blue beanie party. 20
