Loendorf Wins Two Offices Delegates to the 1966 Girls State convention were Judy Howard, Lorna Veraldi, Sheila Loendorf, and Sandra West. BHS’s Girls’ Staters were Sandra West, Sheila Loendorf, Judy Howard, and Lorna Veraldi. They spent the week of June 23 to July 1 on the campus of Montana State Uni- versity. By running for politi- cal offices in mock elections the girls learned how de- mocracy works in our state government. Judy Howard was elected Fire Chief. Sheila Loendorf gained a double victory by being named Justice of the Peace and Chairman of the Fish and Game Depart- ment. Sandra West was Speak- er of the House. Girls’ State delegates participated in a mock court trial, elections, talent and fashion shows, and a graduation ceremony.
