Student Council Is Hub Of School Student Council Officers ore Jane Nordlund, Bob Eomes, and Mike Conaway. This year the Student Council officers, Mike Conaway, Pres- ident; Bob Eames, Vice-President; and Jane Nordland, Sec- retary; worked to make Student Council the best ever. Some of the projects sponsored by Student Council were B-WDay, Open House for parents, a bus trip to Miles City for the dis- trict basketball tournament, and the annual litter campaign. It was up to the individual homerooms to propose the new business. Representatives, one from each first period class, conveyed the ideas to the meetings, which occurredTuesday mornings in the auditorium balcony. The meetings were open to anyone who was interested in attending. Jane Nordlund, Secretory, Bob Eomes, Vice-President ond Mike Conaway, President. Student Council members attend many meetings. 21

Students Choose Miss Broncette John Crawford escorts candidate Yvonne Peters to her seot. Miss Broncette, the girl who has shown the most school spirit, was crowned February 19. The names of five nominess were announced Friday morning at a pep assembly sponsored by AK. The girls, Janet Hudgens, Jean Cochrane, Yvonne Peters, Barbara West, and Kitty Carlson, were escorted by Gary Ever- son, Kelly Fried, John Crawford, Elbio Rosselli, and Dave Elza. Each received a corsage and a bracelet. Then, the student body voted for their favorite. That evening, during an after-game dance, Kitty Carlson was crowned by Dave Elza. WhileMike Walters sang to her, the new Miss Broncette was crowned and presented with a bouquet of red roses. Students enjoy the music and the dancing at the after-gome dance. 23
