Horeword . . They that give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. -Benjamin Franklin. Our .Trinciples . . . The staff, believing that the American way of life is the best, will attempt to show how the principles of democracy and freedom are carried out in our school. Also, how the students can further their best interests by following the precepts for free living. The many departments give each student the opportunity to express himself. Each one, if he has the initiative, can be outstanding in one or more fields. ln BHS there are all colors, creeds, nationalities working and living together in a miniature world We are hoping through the l95l Kyote Annual to influence our readers to live by the code of un-prejudiced living. Kyote staff wants to give each reader a better idea of what goes on in the halls, classrooms, athletic fields and extra curricular activities. After you graduate, some of you will go on to higher education, others to serve in military forces, some to seek employment. No matter what you do, it is hoped that you will remember and cherish your memories of BHS when you look through this memento in future years. And stretch the hands of memory forth To warm them at the wood fire's place! -Iohn Greenleaf Whittier. Page Five
