Slmuwr Chemistry Club HE Chemistry club, consisting of thirty charter members was organized at the beginning of the first semester of the school year 1930-31. Anyone having a C average in chemistry is eligible. Since the organization was new in the Billings High School, it allowed students, who had taken the course in previous years to join also. The purpose of the club is to stimulate interest in science, encourage research work, and to keep in touch with the accomplishments of present day scientists. The club Work supplements the textbook and affords an opportunity for students to gain further knowledge, especially of current science. Practical applications are made, which stim- ulate the interest. Meetings are held in the chemistry recitation room on the first and third Thursdays of each month. Frequently the latter part of the meeting is spent socially. Y 595 Ji l Q E. fiij:L,N.g,,5 is i 'fit ,Qi l f'.. 1- ' f ii TXT vi i .tk l A . ispx T . X lr All 'X' l l X if I' A l fl it i : Nik . lr!
