Bell telephone operators? No, just Central students working at the new Language Lab. THE LANGUAGE LAB MAKES LANGUAGE LOVABLE The new language lab quickly found its way into the hearts of Latin, French, Spanish and shorthand students. Monday through Friday students, eager and otherwise, don the headphones in the lab's fifteen booths. It's tremendous , says Sister Mary Laurita. We're very fortunate to have it. I think all teachers and students using it agree that it has been a great help in making foreign languages more interesting. The lab was donated in mem - ory of Theodore and Mary Karls. Frank Smith seems fascinated as he and Sister Mary Laurita observe the Language Lab in action.

Hard work is the essence of a successful carnival. Although Patty Murdo, Linda Burgess, and Colleen Thomas' teamwork was well organized, Teresa Borer's Art Gallery had that extra effort and originality which won them the prize of ten dollars. Mary Ulrickson tries her luck at Spin the Wheel? Or is it the Rose Bowl? Or Fish Pond????? CARNIVAL To many people, the only problem was parking. Jim Stokoe, President of Key Club and his crew tried to keep traffic moving.
