Senior Class History I 1956 - 57 We, the Class of 1960, entered dear old Biglerville High School in September ’56 happy and very excited. This was our first step toward “Sophisticated Seniors.” We displayed our talents by participating in band, choir, sports, Honor Society, plays, and other activities. During this eventful year, we visited the County Court House and the State Capitol. The class elected Vance Johnston as its president and Mr. Shetter was our class advisor. II 1957 - 58 As “Saucy Sophomores,” we elected Vance Johnston as our president. We sold candy at noon and at games to earn money for our Jr. - Sr. Prom which seemed to be coming very fast. III 1958 - 59 Finally we became “Jolly Juniors” and were very proud of our “Evening in Paris,” which we gave for the Seniors. Also, we received our class rings, which we displayed very proudly. This year we sold jackets, hot dogs, pretzels, and had food sales. Vance Johnston was our president. IV I960 With much proudness we reach the coveted name “Sophisticated Seniors.” We had 80 very energetic members in our class. We sold candy, jackets, cokes, coffee, doughnuts, sponsored dances, food sales, and many other things to earn money for our Senior trip. We elected a very able president, Jack Frantz. We are all looking forward to the big night when we receive our diplomas, but we can never forget all the wonderful times we had in good ole’ B.H.S. We, the Class of ’60, wish to express our appreciation to those who made these years pleasant and successful. To the classes that follow we wish success and happiness as we have gained from our Alma Mater. And so, finally, we say: “So long, B.H.S.; keep moving forward.” With you we leave many fond memories and wonderful friendships.
