-I ' J- 31 5 QQ ' ,- Svrninr Ariiuitiez Chief among the activities carried on as distinetly Senior undertakings were the two dances which our class staged during the year. This was the Iirst time in the history of Biglerville High Sc-hool that any class SllCCGSSlilllly staged two such events. The first was the Autumnal Dance given in November. .Beautiful decora- tions of leaves, branches and colored lights made the Auditorium place of beauty. It was a huge success. 'l'he second dance was our Yalentine Dance in l'l9lll'll211'Y. Needless to say the decorations cents-red about hearts. lt was a, splendid event. To make this book possible and also to meet obligations which will arise, our class has had several ways to raise funds. One of the niost successful was the sell- ing of candy. We have disposed of several boxes and our profits will net close to one hundred dollars. Talk about pep and initiative, 1924 is bubbling over with it. And then there was the Popularity Contest? It certainly was original. We conceived the idea of selling votes at so much per vote, and using the proceeds to purchase several prizes. Needles, to say a handsome profit was left for us. And some say we have pipe dreams, but we are going to take a chance and tell you ot fiOur Washington Trip. We havenit taken it yet but we are planning. And we will be the iirst'B. H. S. Class to visit the National Capital as a body. Aiint Nature Grand. U We,1l say so. A-CT II AT THE END OF THE RAINIEONV' t24l
