Sliter. Bigfork Spanish Class, after a year and a half of hard work, left Bigfork for Mexico, April 5, 1974. We received our first communique from Nogales before they crossed to Mexico. It seemed the temperature was 95° and sunny while up here it was rainy as usual. They visited Mexico during Holy Week, and according to Mrs. Sliter no one works during this time at all. Good Friday they visited the Shrine of Guadelope, a famous religious shrine. Easter they visited the Floating Gardens, Ballet Folklorico, and the bullfights. They travelled to the pyramids and climbed the Pyramid of the Sun. While in Mexico City they visited several open air markets to test their barginning power, but they commented that they never got away from the ven- dors. (They were certainly a colorful bunch when they got back. ) There was a two day stop in Mazatlan for soaking up the sun (everyone was burned). While in Mazatlan they ate at the Shrimp Basket a famous seafood restaraunt. They were also subjected to a terrible tour, the highlight of which was when the bus backed into a pillar of a building. The girls also decided that Mexican men were too friendly. They arrived back home April 21st, although some wished that it wouldn't end. They would like to thank all the people who helped them get there, and also the chaperones, and es- pecially the Sliters for all their help. FOOTBALL '73 FRONT ROW: S. Felt, C. Smith, J. Eslick, F.
