They started on the 6th by touring the Montana State Historical Museum. That evening they ate at Carroll College and used the swimming pool there. Wednesday, the 7th, they started out by touring the vo-Tech Center and later the St. Helena Cathedral. That afternoon the Juniors toured the Capitol Building in Helena. They has the Opportunity to listen to Chief Justice Harrison explain how the Supreme Court functioned and his duties as the Chief Justice. They then observed the Senate in session from the balcony. Some of Governor Thomas Judge s appointees to his cabinet were approved by the Senate while the Juniors watched. Lt. Governor Christianson presided over the Senate then. Next they went to House of Representatives and watched them from the balcony. Among the bills passed while the Juniors were chere was the kindergarten bill, which would create a public kindergarten in Montana.
