Puzthful and Fruc Hmrtrfcl .f ' -qwnra-K Sundwuf Sdwol The year of l9uO has seen the end ot the Sunbury Local School District A bond issue was passed in the fall of 1949 and a site south of town purcha ed for a new high school bu1ld1ng Then the Delaware County Board of Educa ton passed a resolutlon uniting the Sunbury and Galena School Districts as the Big Walnut School District Owen Meredith is president of the new board and other members are Vxfendell Day Kerfoot Morris M E Draudt and Paul Zwayer. Sketched plans for a new high school building at the south edge oi Sunbury have been tentatively approved and contract- will be let as soon as detailed drawings are completed.
