Mims™™ Dr. J. J. Kelly, Jr., has ably served as Division Superin- tendent of Wise County Schools for a number of years ond has diligently sought ways of improving them. He has an A. B. degree from Washington and Lee University and a L. L. D. degree from Milligan College. MRS. PATSY ARNOLD MR. W. D RICHMOND Mr. Harley Stallard, our Principal, whose enthusiasm for work and friendliness and genuine interest in students, has given him a unique place in our school. He attended Mil- ligan College and has a B. S. degree from Radford College and a M. S. degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Mrs. Patsy Arnold, The Principal ' s secretary, is a gradu- ate of Appalachia High School. Mr. W. D. Richmond, Director of Instruction in the Wise County schools, has a B. S. degree from Emory and Henry College and a M. A. degree from Duke University. He did other graduate work at Columbia University, Peabody Col- lege, and the University of Virginia. He has contributed much to our progress in the educational field. The School Board consists of Mr. James C. Lipps, Glade- ville District; Dr. Frank E. Handy, Chairman of the Board, Richmond District; Mr. Earl Hilton, Lipps District; and Mr. E. D. Ireson, Roberson District. MR. HARLEY STALLARD

BROADWATER BROOKS COX MISS SARAH BROADWATER, a Junior Sponsor, has a B. A. degree from Hollins College and teaches Algebra 9 and 10 and Civics 12. MRS. WILMA BROOKS, with a B. S. degree from Lincoln Memorial Uni- versity, is a sophomore adviser and teaches Algebra 9, Math 8, Business Arithmetic, Physics, and History of Wise County. She is also a co-sponsor of the Hi-Y Club. MISS FAITH COX holds a B. S. degree from Radford College and teaches English 8, 11, and History 10 and 11. She is a sophomore adviser and co-sponsor of the Hi-Y Club. MISS LORA DINGUS, who has an A. B. from Emory and Henry, is the sponsor of the Senior Class, Roman Club, W„OB, and the School Bell. She teaches Latin, Chemistry, Trig- ncmetry, Plane and Solid Geometry, and Advanced Algebra. MR PETE DORTON teaches Distributive Education and sponsors its club. He has a B. S. degree from East Tennessee State College. MR. JACK GIBBS, who directs the Glee Club and sponsors the Safety Patrol, W 9 OB, Camera Club, and an Eighth Grade, holds a B. S. degree from Appalachian State Teachers College. He is Guidance Director and teaches Biology. MISS MILDRED GILLIAM, a graduate of Emory and Henry College with a B. S. degree, teaches English 8 and 9 and is an adviser for an Eighth Grade. MRS. KATHLEEN K. HORNE, with a B. S. from William and Mary College, teaches Home Economics and Enrichment 8.
