JUMIOR CLASS One August morning the bell at B.S.G. High rang out once again summoning us as it has for many years. Once again we filed into our classrooms, but this time with the dignified feeling of knowing that we were Juniors. We felt sure that under the faithful guidance of Miss Broadwater and Miss Bellamy we would have a most successful year, and we were so right!! In October after careful examination of rings from two companies, we unanimously decided on an oval ring with our choice of a blue or red set. These will be worn with honor in our Senior year. When football season began this year we had quite a few who participated in this well known and loved sport. They were: Johnny Dorton, Garnett Gilliam, Johnny Boston, Jimmy Stewart, Jack Sizemore, Henry Spangler, Jim Snodgrass, Ronald Kelly, George Litton, Ken Myers, Wayne Slemp, Sonny Horner, David McKaughan, Gary Clark and Don McQuery. Later, as basketball practice began, six of our students, Doris Morelock, Sonny Horner, Jack Mahan, George Litton, Jim Snodgrass and Johnny Boston participated in this sport. We were well represented in the different activities as well as the sports field. The Camera Club claimed seve n of the class and four were chosen for the Safety Patrol. Meanwhile, quite a few more took an active part in the Band, Key Club, F.H.A., Glee Club, and Spanish Club. In May we entertained the Seniors with Junior-Senior Prom which was very success- ful and shall become a pleasant memory for one and all. The climax of our Junior year was our participation in the Commencement exercises. As we walked down the aisle carrying the daisy chain, we realized that when school opened next year we would be Seniors. L
