Banks and Nave Our Director Old Glory' Director: Mrs. Sam McChesney Each year Mrs. Mac excels in her work with the High School Band and this year was no exception. Besides their regular appearances the Band was called upon again and again to show their ability. This, in itself, is enough to show how good they were. With each appearance the public's appreciation of the Band and Mrs. McChesney's work grew. Three of the members put in their claim toxfame by being selected from the competitive tryouts at Tazewell to go to Radford, Mary Jane Miles and Callie Anne Coughlin as members of the All-State Band and Jerry Ann Mayhew of the Band Work Shop.
