IF , r ll w V The Sophomore Class has enioyed another year of hard work and fun! Coach Fitchko, for the second time, was our counselor and homeroom teacher. A - Many of our class members were outstanding in sports. A. L. Rutherford, Carl Jessee, Bobby Snod- grass, Brownie Polly, Kenneth Taylor, J. Beverly, Bill Wolfe, and Joe Gorley were on the football squad. From these, Jessee, Polly, Rutherford, Taylor, and Snodgrass earned letters. Frank Reeder served as football manager. I On the basketball team were Carl Jessee, Gentry Scroggs, John David Revilla, Benny Updike, and I Brownie Polly. Jessee and Updike were awarded letters. One of the basketball managers was Gene i Collier. This year four pupils from other schools were enrolled in our class. They were Jewell Swackelr and Benny Updike from West Virginia, John David Revilla and Bobby Snodgrass from Appalachia. Our class was well represented in the various clubs. Those participating in the CAMERA CLUB were Marilyn Fair Barker, Barbara Lane, Frank Reeder, Bill Wolfe, and Joyce Skeen. J. B. Beverly, Nancy Holmes, Brownie Polly, Bobby Snodgrass, Doris Wells, Bill Wolfe, Frank Reeder, Gene Collier,-Roy Early, I and Gentry Scroggs were in the LATIN CLUB. I Those in the VARSITY CLUB were Barbara Lane,- Arvella Smith, Joan Nave, Bill Wolfe, A. L. I Rutherford, Joe Wells, Bobby Snodgrass, Carl Jessee, Frank Reeder, Kenneth Taylor, and Benny Updike. I I In the SPANISH CLUB were Joyce Skeen, John David Revilla, and Barbara Lane. I I Brownie Polly, Bobby Snodgrass, J. B. Beverly, Bill Wolfe, and Joe Gorley were in the KEY CLUB. U On the SAFETY PATROL were Brownie Polly, Bobby Freeborn, and Bill Wolfe.
