? fQP . GMM Sponsor ....,....-..-..... ,.... M ISS DINGUS SENIOR CLASS HISTORY When the School Bell rang in l936, eleven of our present graduating class lined up at the old building. Some of us were crying, some were smiling, and a few stood with amazed expressions on their faces. But soon we all felt at home under Miss Mahaffey's care. Although our records through the grades were not outstanding, we maintained the level of work required of us without too much difficulty. Then, with an encouraging wave from Miss Duncan, we left the grades and moved on to high school, to which we had looked forward so long. As we near the end our our high school days we find there is much we wish to remember: The Buccaneer spirit which has meant so much to all of us, the friendships we have made, the fun we have had in the various clubs, our school parties, and last, but not least, our homeroom teacher for the past two years, Miss Dingus, who gave so much of her time and advice to us. I - This year hasbeen a grand termination. Several of our boys were on the football team, two boys and three girls played basketball, and several of .our members ioined the different clubs. Our big thrill came the day we received our class rings - we felt so proud. After struggling through midterm exams, we ordered our invitations and made plans for our commencement exercises. The social highlight of the year was the Junior- Senior receptionn Then the final night came, and we received our diplomas as a symbol President ....... .................... ....... .... .......
