gg T TWQIV 1 ,I Glafu J!1fu'c-fu, The years we the class of '51 spent ln high school were important years, not only for our class but for our school and country as well Natlonal affalrs were and are at an incend1ary olnt, where one wrong move coull mean war and destructlon for an entlre world The atom bomb, Korea, presidentlal eltctlons and the song NGood N1ght Irenen were among the events of the day Gettlng down to our school work was rather'hardfor us but on September 5, 1947 we began what was to be the most excltlng and happy years of our lives We began our Freshman year w1th sixty two students who were eager to start their school life This year the class was divlded into three S8CtlCDS wlth Mr Jumper, Mrs Rearlck, and Mr Fundahl as its quietness so after the H0196 dlsd own we electedofficers who vere Presldent John Keck, Vice President Robert Moweryg Secretary Judy Martin and Treasurer Am Lqy Man things happened before thls year was uo but we wlll always reme ber our first party, the Freshman Senlor Dance whlch was given in our honor by the class of '48 This,our flrst dance, was a great success and a good t1me was had by all This must have been our lucky year for we were also the first freshman class in N H S who were favored with a JURIOP Proms and we participated almost unanimously The remainder of our flrst year was filled hy a class skatlng party at Roxbury Skating Rinx, the f1PSt hlgh school play, 'Grandad Steps Outn, and the operetta, 'When The Moon Risesn, both of whlch some of us took ,art in wh11e some of us watched The years 1948-49 w1ll be remembered for man developments The song, 'You Gotta Put The Shoes on Billion, was at the head of the h1t parade Str1kes were in evidence throughout the world The atom bomb was tested on Bikini The newest entertainment, television, was in its f1rst stages of develo ment Likewise, our Sophomore year brought many unusual and delightful experiences A class of fifty six members elected these officers for our second year of S nior High School President Wayne Hoover, Vice President Amy Lqy, Secretary Judy Martin, Treasurer Hyun Zeigler ei ,R C 'Q X x X ma .JI O our advisors and friends.
