fifty inductees are received into nhs The National Honor Society held its fa induction on October 14. Approximately fifty deserving students were inducted into this organization. To be accepted into the National Honor Society, each of these stu- dents were required to have these qualities: leadership, scholarship, service, and charac- ter. The National Honor Society is an organi- zation that is able to help the entire student body. Every member of this organization, including its sponsor Colleen Slaughter, is always ready to help other students.

%. golddiggers become slaves to varsity squad At the close of the 1971 football season, the Golddiggers became slaves to the var- sity squad for one week. The Golddiggers helped to promote spirit among not only the players but the fans as well. Each Gold- digger made signs for each player and coach, baked them a cake, decorated the players ' rooms, fixed lemonade after an af- ternoon workout, gave a banquet, and fed each player and coach breakfast at the Quarterback breakfast.
