We strive to make our school one of which we can truly be proud. In our number are many students who give unselfishly of their time and ideas to the activities of B. S.H. S. We host the Junior-Senior Prom, an annual affair given in honor of the Seniors. For this special activity we begin to plan and prepare at the be- ginning of the school year. To raise money, we encourage ba.ke sales, mid-night shows, school plays, and an Auturnn Carnival. Our activities to better our school, however, do not stop at this point. Our ultimate goals are leader- ship, scholarship, and friendship--at home, at school, and at play. m I ,- ,. ' -4 fg. In Senior H zgb School Sophomor-e's footprints were made very cautiouslythe first days oftheir high school life. It was an everyday occurrence to walk into the wrong classroom and ask for directions. Pride isn't an easy thing to swallow, but the three hundred thirty-seven Sophs. did it in a short time. Coming from Junior High as the top dogs and then finding themselves on the bottom again. It proved to be fun while wearing slime caps and the little red S's which appeared on girls' foreheads. Many puzzled expressions were seen as the new subjects and social activities caught them in a spin of work, fun, and good times The Sophomore s new footprints slowly turned into experienced ones Next year it will be their turn to help direct the footprints of new recruits in Big Spring High President BOBBY EVANS Vice President DELORES HOWARD 4441, Secretary CAROLYN SEWELL Clan 0 190 Abreo, David Alexander, Jeanette Alexander, Mack Allen, Shelia Allen, Dianne Alvarado, Anita Anderson, Danny Anglea, Lona Appleton, Joy Baillio, Clayton Bain, Mary Ella Bain, Linda Baize, Lanny Baker, Louise Batterton, Larry Bennett, Martha Bigham, Marilyn Bishop, Mike Boles, Sue Bratcher Joan Bridges Bud Briggs Lillie Bristow Gordon Brooks Leo sl' 16 1 HOLD THAT TIGER before the Snyder game the instru ments really gleam as the band plays for one of our pep rallies.
