Z ocial Relations Courses PENHANSHIP The aim of the pupils in the H. S. ff d 1 a Penmanship course is to eve op plain muscular movement writing and become rapid legible writers The pupils are encouraged to use better writing in all school work, learning the value of good writing both in school and out. During the semester each pupil strives to get a High School Certificate and is rewarded for effort and merit. I Q 1 -I -.NNQ HISTORY N' xtxl o ' A LIBRARY This course in library work I of the ways to use the library, that is, to teach the pupils how to find what they want without bothering the librarian or any of her assistants This library lesson, taken on the study-hall days of the Physical ucation course, should be taken Ed by all freshmen of every school that has a library. It is certainly a beneficial course. The S are a correlation of Geography, Ethics, Sociology, Occupations, Economics, Civics, and History. The purpose of the Social Rela- tions Courses is to make each pupil in Big Spring High School a socially efficient member of society. HA socially efficient man is he who can earn his own living, who does not interfere with others in earning theirs, and is able to do his part in promoting the progress of his generation.H ?f x
