Claw. Hhtonif 1954- 1955 The class of 1958 entered Big Sandy High as Freshmen in 1954 with 26 in the class. They were Jack Allderdice, Bev Brewer, Ken Christofferson, Wanda Clixby, Leroy Diacon, Bob Dyer, David Ensley, Dorothy Farley, Francis Gasvoda, Gary Geyer, Gail Hagan, Gary Hagan, Marge HoVcicka, Len Jappe, Bonnie Lidstone, Wilma Krumsick, Judy Lohse, Sandra Marlow, Claude Miner, Janet McKeever, Lyle Ophus, Jean Pokorny, Roy Robertson, Bob Schwartz, Doris Stone, and Janyce Roudin. Deana Hurd and Doris Youso joined the class later in the year. Sandra Marlow left the class for Whitefish at the end of the first semester. The candidates for Carnival king and queen were Jancye Roudin and Ken Christofferson, and they reigned as the king and queen for the event. We were honored at the Activity Ticket Sales Dance as we had sold the most tickets. 1955- 1956 We started our Sophomore year with twenty-five in the class. We found we had lost Doris Youso, Jancye Roudin, Bob Dyer, Bonnie Lidstone, and Janet McKeever. We gained Marita Brooks, Bob Ragan, and Janice Conn during the year. Joanne Benson also joined the class. Class officers were elected as follows: President, Bob Schwartz; Vice President, Jean Pokorny; Secretary-Treasurer, Deana Hurd; Council Representatives, Gail Hagan and Daryl Tichenor. With the Carnival coming up, we elected Deana Hurd and Bob Schwartz as our candidates, but we weren't as lucky as in our Freshman year. We put on the Athletic Banquet towards the end of the year. It was very successful. We ended our Sophomore year by serving at the Prom Banquet. 14
