CLASS POEM (Continued) But we learned that wasn’t half bad That good old junior play. What bothered us most now Was the Prom scheduled for May. After hours of discussion. Some minor quarrels and fights, We finally decided on The theme of “Harbor Lights.” Since this was our last contribution To the class of '51, We worked especially hard So that everyone had fun. Now alas! We’ve taken our fourth step. As seniors we are here. To gain as much as we can In our last year. As we look back we’re sorry That we didn’t study more, But let that be a lesson to you Before you close that locker door. We know we’ll probably miss the kids, The teachers, books and all, And more than likely wish that we Were back again next fall. But just for now we’ll say so-long, For it may not be goodby. Though we may wander very far We’ll always remember Sandy High. —By BEVERLY LLOYD. ( 20 )
