TEE ANUAL BIG- SAITBy EIGE SCHOOL CARNIVAL Friday, October 28 th, is the date set for the sec- ond annual High be bool Garni?» I. Last yearls Carnival according to ounside reports was a howling success, but that will lock small in. comparison to the coming one. Each class is to have some stunt cf their own and will compete-with each other as to who will have the best. Consequently great efforts are being put forth by everyone concerned. Ail manner of bo ths will be set up in the halls where one can buy anything from peanuts to shoestrings. Then there will be the big centre attracti on, the High School Vaudeville Show, which will make you laugh until you weep And don't forget to visit the fish pond, you won't have to go home empty handed, or buy from some more fortunate one because every throw brings a catch. During the afternoon the grades will each give a stunt or show or put on an attraction, and from what we hear, everyone who misses them will be out of lucla At about 3:30 in the afternoon the lunch counter will open so you vail not have to go home for lack of ref re sXine xxfc s« The Carnival will wind up with a big dance with rare music. A big High School Carnival parade will take place on the main streets of our city at noon on the twenty- eighth. Be sure you don't miss it. FOOTBALL Football is the latest form of athletics introduced into our school. This improvement has added greatly to our standing as all colleges and High Schools of merit have a team to'represent them in this kind of athletics. In order to play the hoys have to have their grades up to standard, that is, 85 in all subjects. The following team ha? been selectedto represent Big Sandy Cecil Mack, Clifford Flatness, Homer Camp- bell, Neil Turner, Earl Schilling, Marvin Snow, Donald' Shults, Herschell Hurd. Warren McClintoc, Dosia Shults, Herschell Smith. Substitutes: George Hoffsommer, Waine Hoffsommer, Marion Lund, Charles Cole. The first interschool game of the season was played at Havre. Our boys lost to Havre with a score of 31 to 0. But do not worry boys, remember your first game of Basket Ball last year? The next game will be played Friday, Oct. 14. Bigs andy vs, Fort Benton. We are expecting the boys to dig in and do their best this time for we all have a grudge against Benton for what they did to us in Basket Ball.
