EIGHTH GRADE School opened with an enrollment of fourteen in the e1ghth grade Before the f1rst slx wedcs ended Davld Schmidt jolned our group whlch remalned the sane until the close of the school year The class offloers chosen for the year were as follows R-lchard Hunt, presnrlent, Carole Trapp, secretary-treasurer At a class meetlrg, plans were made for graduation, vshlch was held on Tuesday, June 5 Durcmg the course of tne year we completed projects for colonlal furnltnre, and 1nd1v1dual drawmgs These were put on exh1b1t during the year The seventh and elghth grade went on a tri? to Chlcago in May We visited many places, ate dlnner at olly's Tea Room, and went to the show at the Orlental Theater. We engoyed being over on the high school side of the building For the flrst slx weeks lt was hard getting used to the hugh school schedule, but by the end of the year we were adapted to the program. l our social studies class.
