ULASS HISTORY On a fine, sunny, September day in 1943 tif teen very nervous, but nevertheless intelligent lwe thought! students started their career in Big Rock High School The members of our group were Rojean Anderson Warren Cooke Betty Ray Ronald Davis LeRoy Lawrence Allen Thomas Douglas Gleason Violet Miller Donald Thomas Gerald Gum Lawrence Phillips Betty Ness Juanita Hamblen Caroline Nelson Royal H111 Of course we thought high school was just won derful, at first, but really it wesn't too bad The teachers would just shake their heads and sa 'Oh, Well! Poor things, they're just Freshmen W They were quite tolerant When we elected our class officers they were President Allen Thomas Vice President Gerald Gum Secretary Treasurer Lawrence Phillips Reporter -Ronald Davis Mr Peterson was our Freshman class advisor The boys made a good showing in basketball and the girls were active in G A original students We h d lost Juanita Hamblen and Warren Cooke, but we had g lned Mary Ann Baumez In Merch we gained two more students, Gudrun Ronnlng and Robert Reed The Junior class was a little short of man power, so some of our able Gr bles were drafted to be in their pl y Mrs Uglow was our class advisor She was a reel friend to everyone in the class When we elected our class officers they were President Lawrence Phillips Vice President Donald Thomas Secretary Greasurer Betty Ness Reporter- -Royal H111 0 , 5 I . I GLASS PROPHECY It is the year 1975, and we are in the home of Caroline Nelson, the renowned woman architect She has designed a new house in which everything is auto matlcally controlled You push a button and the beds are automatically made Another one cleans the house This home, locsted in Hollywood, is the talk of the country Betty Rey, who greduotcd from Big Rock in 1947 now a dress designer for movie ste s, with her model Violet Miller, is calling on Caroline ard they are talking over old times While they are visiting they hear 9 loud roar outside They look out and see a streamlined 75 foot Jet propelled truck pull up in front of the house Gerald Gum, the designer of the truck end his ssls tant, Don Thomas, step out and come up to the door The five greet e ch other and then sit down to talk over old times Let's listen in on their conversan tion Say, did vou he r bout our old classmate, Roje n Anderson, who h s been cosching a dcclametion cl ss?
