F lL'!'llu a V351 EEUIV' ' 'IWW WE rim!! CHARLES SIMS Drum Major 1951-52 ....-waasffi Y ' Zami The Big Piney Band this year is under the direction of Mr. Hal Campbell, who comes from Utah. We have been doing quite a few things and plan on doing a lot more. There were a few who were lucky enough to go to Rawlins to the Inter-School Concert in December. The best. players were chosen from each school and they all played together for a concert. They were chosen according to their ability to play their instrument. Some of the band have been playing at the basketball games during halftime. When the Punchers went to Cokeville, the band went along and played several marches during the game. They have had some very nice compliments on their playing. Last year in Kemmerer, the band made very good ratings. In their marching they rated 11+ and an 11 for concert music. The saxaphone quartette, Rustie Daniels, Margie Whitman, JoAnne Marincic, and Bernetta Nelson, received a rating of -'111. The band is now getting ready for Kemmerer again this year. , J
