eadofz pw It's a warm July 4, 1972 as we drive to the rodeo arena for the last day of the week long Big Piney Chuck Wagon Days Rodeo. We were very surprised as we entered the City of Big Pjney, it used to be a cow town with a population around 250 but now it is a thriving oil metropolis with a population of 20 thousand. The week's stay in Big Piney has been very enjoyable as we have learned much about our classmates. We were here but a short time when we learned that Susan and Frankie are very happily married and own the biggest Hereford Ranch in the U. S. Later, as we entered the largest Casino in the city we were very surprised to learn that James Carr was the proprietor. While looking over a big, cold glass of milk and talking to Jim we learned that there are still many of the old gang left. Jim tells us that James Meeks is now the coach of a big Athletic Club. We also learn Marilyn is the mother of three children. Her husband, while digging a hole for a clothesline post, struck oil and now they are living on easy street. They each buy a new car every year and Mari- lyn has three big dogs to look after the kids. While watching T.V. we see a familiar face on the screen. To our surprise it turns out to be Martin Neilson, he has his own T.V, show and one of the top Western bands in America. On the same T,V, set we see Nedra's name linked with an adver- tisement for Utah fruits, upon questioning Jim we learn she has one of the largest or- chards in Utah and ships fruits all over the nation. The next day we have to leave because of an engagement in another town, just as we are preparing to leave in our Cadillac we see the name of another old classmate, this time we learn that Alice QGurneyj Edwards is the owner of one of the world's larg- est homes for underprivileged children. It has been a great pleasure for us to learn where all of our old classmates are, but it was also a surprise to learn that we are the only ones who haven't stayed in one place. With our rodeo work we have had to travel. It's time to really be on our way, and so hoping that someday we may be back to Big Piney we leave with a fond farewell. .SY k,
