SE I OR PROPHEC Y The Class of 1983 Invites You To Its Ten Year Reunion June 9-10 1993 Honolulu, Hawaii Da vid Broch, presently a pilot in the Air Force, chartered a commercial jet and flew everyone to the reunion. Special transportation was arranged for Wendy Casperson to attend the reunion. Wendy is a missionary in a remote part of Mexico. Eric Majors, Air Force captain, arranged for this special transportation through the Air Force. Once in Hawaii everyone gathered at Debbie Smith 's Health Spa which was located in Ricardo Gonzalez's luxury hotel. Debbie 's spa had been transformed into a party place with lots to eat and drink. The pool and jucuzzi were crowded with people talking about the good old days . It was reminiscent of the times when everyone partied around Rohn E versonk jucuzzi. Ricardo made his luxury rooms available to all attending the reunion. As everyone reminisced, Dwayne Morton passed out his business card to all there. He is owner of Big Pine Auto A? Welding, and is considered to be an expert welder. Dave Moose was walking around with his note pad writing down all the unusual things that were said. Da ve is head of Psychiatry at the Toronto Medical Center in Canada. Michelle Randolph and Erin Whitlock, both married to well-known businessmen, organized the beautiful decorations at the spa. They both live in beautiful mansions in California. Darrell Howard, head chef at the Bona venture Hotel in Los Angeles, confered with Rohn Everson who was underwriting the cost of the food for chef Darrell's gourmet dinners. Rohn is a self-made millionare due to the success of his Solar Company. Tina Phifer was on the grounds of the hotel checking out the various flowers and fauna of the island. Tina is a director of the San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation. Kim Montejano was close by, taking pictures of all the people at the reunion. Kim is a highly successful professional photographer, and has had several books of her work published. While everyone was socializing at the sunset party on the beach we found Wende Hinkley deeply absorbed in painting the beautiful Ha waiian sunset. She was prepar- ing for her one-woman exhibit in Hawaii. Linda Grubb, owner of the Santa Anita Stables, was at the party in her riding tinery. She had just come from participating in the Hunt Class of the annual Hawaii International Horse Show. Roland Duckey drove up in a rented Corvette. He owns several classic sports cars and has them on display at his Sports Car Specialty Shop in San Bernardino. Moving from group-to-group was L-eon Gardner, Colonel in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was extolling the great life of the Corp. He had come from special duty in Brazil and was headed for extended duty in Iceland. Everyone then began to notice the mysterious man in the trench coat. Linda immediately recognized that it was Jesse Smith! Jesse was now with the American Secret Service. He was no special duty to protect all the famous people at the reunion. The class of 1983 had such a good time at this reunion that we all promised ourselves we would meet again in another 10 years. The place to be announced. o 4 0 9 President Debbie Smith Vice Pres. Working counseling, and guiding young adults through the four years of secondary school can, at times, seem contradictory to that statement. However, each student with whom the teachers come in contact is part of the future. How exciting! To work with the future each day. With the technological revolution, the innovations and developments of the future will be exciting and rapid. Students'success as adults, within the techological revolution, is dependent upon two factors: one, the degree that you, the student, allow teachers to contribute to your future, and two, your attitude as you approach learning presently and in the future. Each teacher wants you to pursue excellence in learning and be able to adjust to the rapidly changing world of tomorrow. Dean E.
