I decided to take my space ship and go to the planet Earth for a school reunion with my classmates of 1953. As I landed on the school lawn which took up six blocks, I then noticed that the town had grown slighty. It is now about the size of New York. As I climbed from my space ship. I saw coming toward me Joe Knight, in his old 53 Plymouth which had just come from the garage for the 1, 953rd. time. He also had with him his 23 grandchildren. He took me up on Westguard Pass to a place known in my day as Lovers Knob. But now the Lovers don ' t go there, because Joe has a rambling ranch house there now. As we walked in, Carol was dusting off the only furniture they had which was and old auto seat that I recall seeing there while I was still in high school. After visiting them for a while I went to the home of Sharon and Rod Shackleford to have tea. They were very prosperous now, as they owned a Horny Toad farm in Saline Valley. They had a private race track called the California Stetson. After leaving the Shackleford ' s home I stopped at Harley Vincents place of business which was to cut warts off of Dill Pickles. The name of his establish- ment was Harley ' 11 Do It. Then I visited the 21 room apartment of Mr. Clifford Bowers, where I was informed by him that he was now the Heavy Weight champion of the Under- world. He is still as tough as he was in his school days. After dinner I stopped by to see Joy in her tent and Onion Valley where she took in washing for a living. Her tent was lavishly furnished with two orange crates and one duied onion. Around her finger was an old cigar band which an old beau named Mike gave her. As I left her house I continued on to see Stan- ford Ball in his Model A. He was now very bald, but was very gay and sprightly for his age. He was now giving swimming instructions at a wealthy old women ' s place. After leaving Stan ' s I stopped by Rita Cyrus , better known now as Rita La Rue. She is now the Stiptease Artist at the Palace. Her dance was the most exotic in the valley. All in all I had a most exciting time on my earth uip. And now I must return to my brewery on Mars for I have an appointment with Mr. I. W. Harper early in the morning. oenm 0hhfiy Eight little freshmen stood in front of the class. (Stan, Cliff, Joe, Merton, Betty. Lorene, Heidi) One jumped in and then there were nine. (Joy) Another jumped out and eight appeared again. (Heidi) Eight fine Sophomores having lots of fun. Two jumped in and then there were ten. (Barley, Carol) Then we lost another one and there were nine again. (Merton) Nine pretty big Juniors jumping all around. Then we lost three but gained another one. (Pat, ) (Harley, Lorene Betty) Nine Big Seniors, never could be smarter. Back came another one who ' d become a little taller. (Harley) He brought with him two more that he thought would fill the order, (Sharon, Rod) And as far as we ' re concerned they did. We think. Well Sorta. Ten Big Seniors not a class could be better. But it didn ' t last long. Because we lost one and we never will forget her. The Warriors completed six straight victories. Playing the first three home games with Randsburg, Smith Valley Nev, and Lee Vinning. And traveling away for the last three, with Smith Valley, Coleville, and Lee Vinning. These victories can not only be credited to the team but to Coach Deck Dietrick. 26 Big Pine 22 Big Pine 18 Big Pine 34 Big Pine 24 Big Pine 46 Big Pine i h 6 Randsburg 20 Smith Valley 6 Lee Vinning 32 Smith Valley 6 Coleville Lee Vinning (Jnee emefis Jfatjoriteg Harley Shari Joe Pat Rod Joy tbertisersi COlvlPLIMENTS OF .tJt P TUCATRE Bishop, California T H E A T E R E M itl 6t ' f COMPANV Grower and Shipper Fruits and Vegetables MARVIN BERRY Phone 266-Nite 3 72 Mailing Address: Big Pine COMPLIMENTS OF TWO DRUG STORES VALLEY DRUG STORE Phone 2901 REXALL DRUG 146 N.
