“SOPHOMORE HISTORY WE THE CLASS OF 1952 ENTERED HIGH SCHOOL WITH NINE CLASS MEMBERS, TEDDY HUNNEWELL, LOR- RAINE HERRMANN, LORRAINE iVESTERVELT, AGNES BACOCH, GLADYS iVlLSON, PAUL SMITH, GERALD WA- TSON, Earl Clair, and nick bacoch. But after A FE WEEKS PAUL SMITH MOVED AWAY, THEN THERE WERE EIGHT. HARDLY ANYTHING HAPPENED TO THE FRESHMEN THAT YEAR EXCEPT INITIATIONj WHICH REALLY CAU- SED SOME EXCITMENT. THE FRESHMEN BOYS AND GIRLS HAD TO EXCHANGE CLOTHES AND WEAR THEM BACKWARDS WE HAD TO SIT IN AN ELECTRIC CHAIR AND THEN WE WERE MADE TO EAT RAW EGGSj TWO STUDENTS SH I NED THE TEACHERS ' SHOES. ThAT NIGHT THERE WAS A PARTY FOR US, BEFORE Christmas vacation, MR. Marko, our Spanish teaCher, let us have a Mexican Christ- mas PARTY. JUST BEFORE SCHOOL LET OUT, LORRAINE WESTERVELT LEFT US, THIS REDUCED OUR CLASS TO SEVEN, iVHEN WE WENT BACK TO SCHOOL AS SOPHOMORES WE HAD SIX MEMBERS BECAUSE EARL CLAIR HAD MOVED AWAY DURING THE SUMMER. SHORTLY AFTER SCHOOL OPENED Gladys Wilson left us. For several weeks WE had an additional sophomore, Ray Franz. During our two years in high school we have had many enjoyable times and we are looking for- ward to our next two years, FRESHMEN HISTORY The FRESHMEN CLASS IS COMPRISED OF EIGHT students: clifford bowers, merton richards, stanford pall, joe knight, heidi naef , rita Cyrus, betty Armstrong and lorene leigh. later ON in JANUARY, 1950, JOY 8R0ADY JOINED THEM. INITIATION DAY WAS A BIG AFFAIR FOR THE FRESrtHEN AND FOR THE REST OF THE HIGH SCHOOL ALSO. The FRESHMEN HAD TO WEAR FEED SACKS AND THE GIRLS HAD TO HAVE THEIR HAIR BRAIDED ALL OVER THEIR HEAD. ALTHOUGH WE ARE ST ILL A LITTLE GREEN, WE HOPE SOMEDAY TO FOLlOW IN THE SE- NIORS FOOTSTEPS,
