JUrjIOR CLASS HISTORY In September of i 947 ten students; Cosy Rossi, Betty Stewart, Bud Cyrus, Diane carll, clored Richards, Bob Blaloc, Gena Stone, Georgia Thatcher, DwiGHT Simmons, and Bill Bye boarded the Freshmen train of Big Pine High School Education, On October 7, we were initiated. But on Oct- ober 8, 2 students. Bud and Eldred, fell off the train. However, on October 9, along with Helen Naef, from Switzerland they boarded the train again. Whether Bob bought a ticket ok not we never found out. He got off the train before we had traveled very far. Everything went smoothly until Georgia lost HER suitcase AND GOT LEFT BEHIND WHEN SHE GOT OFF TO GET IT. When we reached the second semester STATION TUO NEW PASSENGERS GOT ON, BiLL ROBERTS, AND Carlos Herrera. From then on we went happily- well WE went anyway-on to the end of the first LINE. In order to get ready for the second line WE got off for a LITTLE VACATION. When the sophomore train pulled into the sta- tion WE discovered that Mike Rossi had taken Gena ' s ticket and she was left behind but Mike continued ON with us. For a whole year the passenger list DID NOT CHANGE AND WE ENJOYED OURSELVES A GREAT DEAL. At Christmas when we stopped at a station FOR a rest our teacher MR . ROTH GOT LOCKED IN THE station. But Mrs. Purdy got on at the next stop and before we knew it we were at the end of the second line and headed for a fine vacation. Reluctantly we all boarded the Junior train AND started on OUR THIRD TRIP WITH TWO NEW PAS- SENGERS, Art Starr, and Bob Dewey. They must not HAVE LIKE THE PASSENGERS OR THE ENGINEER, MRS , WaSSON, or maybe THEY DIDN ' T HAVE TICKETS, anyway they got off at the first stop. Well, on this trip we haven ' t done much but RIDE ALONG. WE ARE PLANNING A B I G J UN I R- SEN I R banquet when we get to the STATION WHERE THE SENIOR TRAIN IS SWITCHED. ThE OFFICERS FOR THE TRIP WERE Betty Stewart-president, Coby Rossi-Vice president, Helen Naef -Secretary, and Carlos Herrera- treasurer. . X
