..JOt SENIOR HISTORY The class of ' 50 entered dear old B.P.H.S. as a group of frightened freshmen with their minds set on accomplishing great things. but after they met up with the annual freshmen in- ITIATION AND Mrs. V asson ' s algebra assignments THEY DECIDED IT WOULD TAKE A LITTLE WHILE TO ACCOMPLISH THE IMPOSSIBLE. As SOPHOMORES THEY CONTRIBUTED THEIR UNDI- SCOVERED GENIUS TO SCHOOL ACTIVITIES SUCH AS SPORTS, STUDENT COUNCIL, AN.0 THE HONOR ROLL, An ADMINISTRATOR DINNER WAS PREPARED AND SERVED by these humble low ercl assmen , and thie event since then has proved to be an almost tradit- ional custom. When their Junior year rolled around they finally came to realize their ambition of ac- COMPLISHING GREAT THINGS. ThEY GAVE THE ANNUAL Junior-Senior BANq,uET held in honor of the se- niors OF ' 49, THE THEME WAS VERY APPROPRIATE WITH THE AUDITORIUM DECORATED AS A HUGE COVERED WAGON, THE BANC UET WAS A BIG SUCCESS AND ONE which we all shall remember. This their senior year has been the crowning glory of their high school career. their ditch day, and many trips to los angeles, made pos- SIBLE BY Mr. DIETRICK, were events WHICH SHALL BE CHERISHED ALWAYS. ThE CLASS. BEING THE SM- ALLEST IN SCHOOL, HAS HAD MANY OPPORTUNITIES AND HAVE DONE THEIR BEST TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEM. The SENIOR BACCALAURATE CEREMONIES BRING THEM TO THE END OF THEIR HIGH SCHOOL CAREERS AND A LONG AWAITED EV ENT -GRAD U AT I ON .WE THE CL- ASS OF ' 50 HOPE THAT WE HAVE SET A STANDARD FOR OTHER CLASSES TO FOLLOW AND THAT THEY HAVE AS MUCH FUN AND SUCCESS IN BiG PiNE HIGH AS WE HAVE HAD .
