IT’S ALL BEHIND ... ... FOR THE CLA SS OF CLASS COLORS: CLASS FLOWERS: Blue and Silver Cream Carnation and Light Green Rose CLASS MOTTO: I am not afraid of tomorrow for I have seen yesterday and I love today. William Allen White CLASS SONG: I GOT A NAME Like the pine trees lining the winding road, I've got a name; I've got a name. Like the singing bird and the croaking toad, I've got a name; I've got a name, And I carry it with me like my daddy did, but I'm living the dream that he kept hid. (Chorus) Movin' me down the hiway Rollin' me down the hiway Movin' ahead so life won't pass me by Like the north wind whistlin' down the sky, I've got a song; I've got a song. Like the whippoorwill and the baby's cry. I've got a song, I've got a song, And I carry it with me and I sing it loud, if it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud. (Chorus) (Instrumental) And I'm gonna go there free. Like the fool I am and I'll always be, I've got a dream; I've got a dream. They can change their minds but they can't change me, I've got a dream; I've got a dream. Oh, I know I could share it if you'd want me to, if you're going my way, I'll go with you. (Chorus) Norman Gimbel 4

Things go better with Coke Devoting spare time to get ready for class DEDICA TION The 1979 Senior class and Big Lake Annual Staff would like to dedicate our Laker to Mr. Chuck Heitz. Mr. Heitz has taught at Big Lake High School for nine years as our Industrial Arts teacher. Due to his dedication he has opened a new dimension in the minds of many young ambitious students. And for this we will always be grateful. The annual staff would like to take this opportunity to give special thanks to Mr. Heitz for his teaching and involvement in photography. For without this new knowledge many of the pictures in this annual would not have been available. Thanks Mr. Heitz, for EVERYTHING! More than a teacher a Friend 3
