Seniors Riot After Pep Fest SENIORS INCITE STUDENTS TO RIOT Big Lake High Besieged Big Lake, Minn. (UPI) - Follow- ing the 10th of February 1967, the Seniors decided a party would be in order. They respectively submitted a request to purchase goods for this event and received a negative response concerning the food and the party. Upon re- ceiving this unreasonable an- swer, the class was immediately up in arms. And so it was. Posters were designed, picketers contracted, and a threat of mutiny loomed over the school. As the strikers marched thru the hallowed halls, the underclassmen responded and also joined in to fight against - against-well they really didn't know. The crowd grew leaving few pupils in the classrooms with the completely flabergasted teachers. The entire school was in a state of political upheave 1. The mass rally that formed in Room 6 got entirely out of hand. There was no telling what would happen. About that time the 3:41 bell rang. School was out, and the problem was solved; no student planned on remaining anywhere close to the school when class was over. The march, strike, and demonstration was at an end. G M6 23 MUSIC FIRS! THIRD ROW: Doug Hanson, Marty Moshier, Marts Jerve, Dean Brenteson, Bob Gramsey, Gary Hanson, Mr. Mewes, Coach. The baseball season wasn't blessed by too many bright spots, this year--but the vic- tory over Buffalo by the score of 2-0 made the season a success. Marty Moshier pitched a 3-hitter, Doug Hanson had 6 assists at third base, Rex Brings handled 11 chances at first base without error, and the whole team played errorless ball through- out the entire game. We hope to duplicate this performance a few more times next year. Since Dean Brenteson and Robert Gramsey were the only seniors on this year's Base- ball team, the future looks relatively bright at Big Lake High School. 52 GRA DES SIXTH GRADE FIRST ROW: Mrs. Fobbe, D.
