They are a study in patience, friend- liness, diligence, perseverance, and understanding. How often they must feel that their efforts are wasted, yet the fruits of their labors will be enjoyed by generations that will follow. Each year they seem to grow in dedication and de- votion to enriching and broadening the character ' of to- morrow’s leaders. Mrs. Parks explains French to Sandra Spence, Randall and Wayne Wilson.

Mr. Homer W. Wooldridge Jr. Lynchburg College and University of Va. Principal There is always a bustling of school activities in the principal ' s office; but in spite of this Mr. Wooldridge and Mrs. Mason, school secretary, can be counted on to find time to give any advice or help a student needs. Not many people are envious of Mr. Wooldridge’s job; but he does not seem to look on it in that way, for he finds satisfaction and enjoyment in the many min- utes he spends in helping us set goals of high ideals and unselfishness for a life of service.
