CLASS PROPHECY My next stop was to see another classmate, Jackie Oliver, now Mrs. Billy Tur- pin. After many years of medical study she has become a widely known physician. She is the owner of the new hospital, The William Turpin Memorial Hospital, which is located on Turpin ' s Hill. She is very happy in her married life, and is proud of her set of twins, Jackie and Billy. We know she will continue to be a success as a doctor. After leaving Jackie, I went to see Audrey Markham, who is now Mrs. John Riley. They own a thousand acre farm at Montvale, on which they have 700 head of cattle and 100 riding horses. The farm is located on Goose Creek Road. They are train- ing their two daughters, Mildred and Edith, to become great h o r s e ba c k riders. I know they will be a great success. Betty Arthur, another of my clas smates, has just received an award for the greatest actress of the year. Besides making movies she is now appearing on tele- vision. There is gossip that she is engaged to the movie actor, Reginold Wilson. My next stop was to see Shirley Tolley who is now Mrs. Lyle Breeden. Shirley and her husband are great hillbilly singers. They sing over the radio, and also appear on the Grand Old Opry , that is, when they can find a baby sitter for their triplets. During my visit at Shirley ' s I learned that Iris Routon had become a con- cert pianist. She has traveled all over the world appearing in operas, and also has just made a movie of her great life. I don ' t know, but I think she is taking Liber ace ' s place. The only thing she lacks is Brother George . I continued on my journey to see Jean Harris, who is now Mrs. Sonny McNeely. When she finished school Sonny was in the Navy, so she joined the Waves. They served five years overseas, and by this time they were longing to be back home, so after being discharged, they returned to dear old Big Island with their three sons and their daughter. Sunny Lee. As I started to leave, in walked Dottie Farley, who was visiting here. She has become a famous American artist and is married to a famous painter. Lord du Bonnet. With her were her four children who all have blond hair and blue eyes. She spends her summers on the coast of England and F ranee and her winters in Florida. As Dottie and I were talking I learned that Aline Tomlinson had married a rich bu-sinessman, Vernon Van Cleve, and has become a great dress designer. She designs and sews for her husband ' s huge clothing store in New York. During her spare time she works at a studio photographing models for Mademoiselle and Seventeen magazines. Besides all this, she leads a highly social life. Last but not least, I guess I had better give an account of myself, Phyllis Turpin. I am President of the Business and Professional Women ' s Club of Virginia. I own a large store and farm machinery business at Charlemont, the hub of a thriving Air Force station and radar center. My farm at Lone Pine is now being purchased by DuPont for $10,000,000 since uranium and m a n g a n e s e were discovered there. After taking care of my business here I plan to return to Hawaii.
