JUNIOR CLASS OFFICERS (Left to Right): Marion Phillips, Shirley Taylor, Billy Hudson, Phyllis Wilson, Nancy Taylor. Nancy Taylor President Phyllis Wilson Vice President Marian Phillips Secretary Shirley Taylor Treasurer Billy Hudson Reporter CLASS MOTTO To have a triend; Be a friend! CLASS COLORS Yellow and Green CLASS FLOWER Yellow Rose JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY We ' re Juniors, yes! We ' ve come a long way. Oh, those famous events, days, memories-- so many things have happened and we ' re now Juniors. It seems like only yesterday we were Freshmen with Miss Nelle Harris as our sponsor, thinking of that distant June of 1955, wonder- ing how many classmates will survive ' till graduation rolls around. Oh! that Christmas Party which all of us attended and some of us even attended the Ring Dance. And the lucky ones of us that made the Dramatic Club and the basketball team, and many other club activities. How time does fly ! Weare--yes, Sophomores those beloved days with Mrs. Thacker sponsor. Some classmates deciding to leave us and others saying they would join us. Those field trips to the Fish Hatchery, National Container Corp. , and the Colony. Juniors! We can hardly imagine that we are! Some of our members are leaving us to get married. About all we can hear is Rings! Our Junior and Senior trip to Richmond to the as- sembly and the Junior and Senior Banquet. But why should all this past worry us, what a time! Maybe we as a class will survive to be Seniors yet. 14 -
