Both did very well in, on the other hand Joe Coones had his computer and was thus very content with life. On September 16th we had our first class meeting and the officers were elected as follows! Peter Pelissier - President, Tom Farr - Vice President, Rich Garber - Secret- ary Treasurer, and Snake (Tim) Coghan and Melanie Pineda repre- sented the class in the Student Council. Our first money making project was selling spirit mugsâ, which we did quite well with. Our second project was the selling of conces- sions for girls basketball which was also a big plus for our assits. All in all, the class of '87 had a fun and exciting year. K-I2i Patty Buvkingham, Spanish Principal's Yearbook Message The graduation of the class of 1985 has a special meaning to me because we both started at Big Horn High School six years ago. I was the new principal and your class was the new seventh grade. Many changes have taken place at Big Horn in the past six years and you have been involved in many beginnings and endings. The Big Horn building program is completed and the class of '85 will be the first to graduate from the new facility. Part of the history of old Big Horn High School will be remembered in the mural painted by George N. Ostrom which is dis- played in the lobby of the new gym. This year marked the beginning of the Big Horn Middle School, grades 6,7,8, and the end of Big Horn High School grades 7 through 12. Major curriculum developments and changes have enhanced your academic opportunities and the Knowledge Bowl and Gifted and Talented progams have challenged your minds. We have enjoyed two State championships with members of the class of â85 playing major roles. These are but a few of the changes that have taken place in the past six years. The important changes, I hope, have been in your maturity and the broadening of your academic background. These are both important factors to future success. Good Luck and best wishes always. Front row: Jay Pelissier, Mike Maguire - Vice President, Susie Garber - President, Richie Garber, Tim Coghan, Brent Hoffman, Cece Hutton - Secretary, Deanne Reher, and Kevin Carlberg The Student Council has had a very successful year. Our total gross of money taken in has been well over $1000.00. All of the Student Council officers attended Trail Lake Leadership Camp in Dubois early in June of 1984. Later in November our President Susie Garber and I participated at the Wyoming Association of Student Councils (WASC). Our first project was in August of '84. a new student orientation. The new students that participated met with the administration and faculty of our school, followed by a swimming party. Student Council took charge of Homecoming activities in October, and throughout Boys Football and Basketball seasons we ran the concessions. In December we held a bake sale to help raise money for the restoration of the Statue of Liberty. The Council also organized the annual Christmas party in which we had such games as a jello-eating contest. 3-legged race and many othersl After the games, we had our gift exchange. In February of 1985 we installed a juice machine in the cafeteria and sold candy in the new student lounge during lunch. We ended our outstanding year by purchasing a button machine, which will now be used for all school activities by the Council. 'rtyoti âi Society Back row: Susie Garber, Cece Hutton, (pres.)
