Bo Scout Troop 118 of Big Horn grew this year from a membership of 3 to 12 under the leadership of John Clendenen and Keith Salisbury. Highlight of the 1969 sum- mer was a pack trip to Lake Geneva. The troop attended winter camp at Bear Lodge and came away with the trophy. A blue ribbon was also earned at the boy's Scout-O-Rama booth. Another pack trip and a week at Camp Buffalo Bill are planned for summer 1970. An anti-litter campaign was a service project of both Big Horn Cubs and Scouts. Cub Scouts Shawn Jensen, Brian MacCarty, Sandy Joseph, Brian Talcott and Andy Stroup work in their blue ribbon booth at Scout-O-Rama. Cub Scout service projects included the painting and locating of litter barrels and a trash pick-up, as well as the sending of cookies to Viet Nam at Christmas. Picnics a Mother's Day tea and program, and attendance at the Scout-O-Rama were other activities. Mrs. Verl Joseph was Den Mother.

Exciting Year The Folk Group was orig- inally a class of students inter- ested in playing the guitar. With only five members, it was easy for students to begin to play different parts. Their first per- formance was at the Christmas Program. Later they appeared in Kiwanis Stars of Tomorrow Contest. Although they didn't place, they had a good time. They also provided entertain- ment for the Senior Tea and Prom Banquet. Their last per- formance was at the Spring Program. They worked hard all year and put in many long hours with Mrs. Rutz. Above: Folk group members. Standing: Wayne Daly, Deb- ra Clements, Irv Blaney. Seated: Robin Benson and Kay Clements. Right: Folk Group during a performance at the Woman’s Club. Be- low: Sextet members at the Spring Program: Suzanne Alderson, Laura Connell, Barbara Blaney, Valene Jensen, Debbie Oedekoven and Maureen Harvey. The Sextet was comprised of six girls from the Chorus. The group was organized in the spring by Mrs. Rutz. The girls met during lunch to prac- tice. Their first performance was for the Senior Tea held at the Woman's Club. They, with the Folk Group, sang for the banquet at Prom. They also sang at the Spring Concert. Their final performance was at Baccalaureate.
