Mountaineer Publishes Seven Issues This year the Mountaineer staff was composed of thirtv- four members. These members have written stories, typed dummy sheets and stencils on the mimeograph machine. They have published seven issues and one senior issue. Being on the staff hasn't been an easy task; not only is it hard work, but it is also time-con- suming. Members of the staff have tried to write new and different articles for the Mountaineer, Mrs. Vernon served as adviser. Activities for this year included a trip to Laramie for Journalism Week-end. The 1970 RAM Staff moved to a new room this year and also ac- quired a new sponsor, Mrs. Clend- enen. Under her able guidance, the staff took all activity pictures. Mr. DeJarnett supervised students working in the darkroom, and they did all the developing and printing. Student Council President Marsha Norskog browses through the displays at the Learning Festival. Seniors swept the leadership of the Student Council, with Marsha Norskog elected president; Harold Jensen, vice-president; Barbara Blaney, secretary; and Ross Hilman, treasurer. The first activity of the year was a Learning Festival. This included a display of educational toys. Sale of these items and an open house were Student Council sponsored. Christmas activities and the collection of food and clothing for a burned-out Big Horn family were also Council projects. The Student Council was also consulted on several disciplinary matters.
