From Our most important assignment both in school and out is to make freedom work. We must make it work in our own lives, in our homes and in our community, state and nation. This is a universal challenge to all mankind. Freedom brings with it many responsibilities that we cannot overlook. One of these re- sponsiblities is discipline. To be free, we must accept discipline as the price of freedom rather than a restriction of our freedom. These words of Lincoln seem to still be appropriate for to- day: We, even here, hold the power to bear the responsibility.................We shall nobly save, or meanly lose the last best hope of earth.
