' ROBERT GREEN Christimi Education SEHIDRS THE SENIOR CLASS Time has passed-oh how swiftly! To us, the Seniors, it seems but yesterday when we entered our last year to study. But now, that year comes to a close. ln a way it is sad, for the little cliques Aand groups will be no more. Our last year has been a happy, memorable one, however, full of excitement, intellectual' awakening, spiritual up- lifting, activity and work. We entered school in September with a determination and a hope that this would be the best year of our educational career. Of course, we were fully aware that this was our last year and our hearts sang a song of happiness, but there was a minor chord here and there in the song because we shall miss dear old B.T.S. But our mem- ories of it shall never fade. Don't think we have been inactive for we've really worked effectively and efficiently. Under the leadership of a real- ly swell president, Cecil Knight, we've accomplished much toward our project. We Seniors know the importance of a good library, so we have been helping our library to increase its books. We've used some clever money-making methods, tool We can't forget the fun we had just before Christmas. As we sat in class, we could hear the strains of old Christ- mas hymns, When we got out of class, someone would confront us from a booth, saying, 'lBuy a box of Christmas cards- only Sl, or this one for 5Oc. We sold them anxiously-for books for the library! Mm-mm, smell that? Oh! What a temptation! Say, may l borrow a nickel? That's what a lot of us said when the popcorn machine was set up. Many happy rnunches went away satisfied-and we were glad, for we were earning money for books for the library. The entertainment we have given in B.T.S. is very memorable. The Homeland Harmony Quartet of Atlanta came up to give us a concert and the receipts were given to the Library Fund. Then, our very own presentation, White Banner, by Lloyd C. Douglas, was given. The play was excellent, of course, for the actors were the Seniors, and, as usual, the profit was given to the Library Fund. One thing we are doing that has never been done by a Senior Class before. We are continuing our work into the summer. We have bought pennants of B.T.S. to be sold by the Seniors in a special campaign for the Library Fund. And, so that our Senior Class can never be forgotten, we are working to form the B.T.S. Alumni Association. Time has so swiftly passed, and all of us must part, but the Senior Class of l945-46 shall always be remembered.
