This week, which preceeded the actual game, was filled with special days and activities. Nostalgia day, blue and white day, beat tigers day, million dollar legs contest, spirit chain, and r.g.'s slave sale, all added to the excitement. Of course, one cannot forget all the work the classes put into their floats. Con- gratulations go to the juniors, who took first place with their theme tame the ti- gers. They were followed by the frosh, the band, and the seniors, and finally the sophomores. As always, the climax of the week was the crowning of the homecoming queen, betsy middlemus. Betsy's court consisted of lexie bigelow, christy dark, marni eisen, and janice hallet. All reigned over the dance on Saturday night. hockey team faces tough competition! varsity hockey: standing: maggie finan, missy long, cathy hughes, gail bowen, leah lake, cathy kennedy, chrissy bess, mary mayo, stacey spielberger, jeanne moser, kim lenart; manager, miss bassnett; coach, sitting: pauline hanners, carol coughlin, julie elements, sharleen Stanley, hannah putnam. reserve hockey; standing: miss bassnett; coach, cindy koebell, cheryl wyncoop, angela jones, laura kromer, joan holden, sarah bolan, vicki voelker, missy stone, sharon hoechstetter, kim lenart; manager, sitting: margaret brown, ann hackman, lisa porterfield, carole ray, cindy gilkerson, cindy edwards. 76 The bexley hi-y youth group participated in two main programs this year. Color has been used, as well as fascinating ideas, the biggest one being the new format of the book. The alphabetical idea was used because we wanted to cre- atively change the yearbook from the way it had been in the past. We hope this year's bexleo is a yearbook filled with meaningful memories that will be treasured for many future years. 182 yearbook special thanks: van ramsey galleries steve morgenstern dan unkefer betsy levy angelika krall mary persi in memoriam mrs. eileen manly passed away jan. 1,1975 is life the dream and death the reality? without death, life would have no meaning death ... a mystery of life— a mysterious end. anonymous 184 drexel theatre Compliments of 2554 east main street able builders supplies inc. 1555 joyce avenue 231-9512 294-3254 186 paul's food shoppe, inc. best wishes for success and happiness to the class of '75 finest quality meats, produce and grocery neil crabbe, realtors we deliver 237-7661 231-4581 a bexley tradition al volio jae company distinctively designed office furniture and kitchens accessories showplace wasserstrom of kitchens 477 s. front st. 228-6525 955 w. 5th ave. columbus, ohio 43212 joseph a. jacobs, pres. carousel east supplier of del-mar cabinets we remodel kitchens and bathrooms only, we 3016 east broad street specialize in them columbus, ohio 43209 call us for free estimates 231-2115 294-4941 bank financing 187 dick masheter ford, inc. crossroads of ford country ‘sales ‘leasing ‘service ‘used cars ‘parts ‘trucks 1090 south hamilton road 861-7150 felix pedon compliments of 239-6196 of harley e. rouda co. realtors salt bros. hardware co. 239-7400 columbus, ohio 43209 million dollar club 2964 east broad columbus, ohio phone: 235-4372 188 LUXURY APARTMENTS A Wyandotte Community wing's restaurant 2801 east main street columbus, ohio 43209 fine dry cleaning 235-8639 since 1906 Callander cleaning co. 2877 East Broad Street Columbus, Ohio 614 237-8004 best of luck class of 75 r m concessions 2547 Bexley Park 235-8768 2850 east main street columbus, ohio 43209 THE TORCH wishes much success to the graduating seniors of its all-american rated editorial and business staff steve abrams jody drewes betsy middlemus jeff millard steve morganstern bob nusgart parker potter marian schmidt 190 Reach for a star. The first of these is a mini-course pro- gram. This offers the opportu- nity for students to learn from other students and teachers about thier areas of interest. Student council's other in- novation is a tutoring program for children at lincoln park elementary. The science club this year had regular meetings to famil- iarize students with careers in the science fields. In the first half of the season, the team won only the games they expected to win— Westerville and lancaster. Then they beat the first place p.i.m.e. by a score of 2-1 in overtime. That win prompted a nine game streak in which the team's record was 5-1- 3. Overall, the team played fairly well, with a record of 7 wins, 4 losses, and 3 ties. 144 the many moods seniors 147 year come year go tree green grass grow sun rise sun gone time flies right on don't sigh don't fret don't cry no sweat keep real keep true stay young stay you. seniors we've finally started high school—freshman year... what is i.p.s.? ... “nice is a garbage word ... dustin hoffman ... mr. tenwalde's algebra classes ... stompettes ... scats ... your first homecoming dance ... 12:00 a.m. conversations ... parties ... grand funk ... first exams ... life is basically tragic ... baskins after school ... rubes after games ... the great white father... tieing shoes together in gym class ... summer biology ... walking to jeffrey mansion ... working at ohio state fair... we're now sophomores ... finally driving ... get- ting ripped off on our float ... pledging sorority ... the bonfire ... j's all nighter ...
